The Sara Koe PSP Research Centre (SKRC), the first dedicated PSP Research Centre in the world, was established in January 2002 at the Institute of Neurology in London and officially opened by our Patron HRH The Duchess of Gloucester, GCVO, in April 2002.

Web Opening of SKRC.jpgThe SKRC's role is to co-ordinate PSP research within the UK, provide support to those involved in PSP research and to act as a link with PSP research worldwide.

The SKRC administers a PSP DNA and Brain Bank and is closely linked to the Queen Square Brain Bank which stores the brains of people who have died from various neuro-degenerative diseases as well as the brains from disease-free donors.

Professor Andrew Lees is Director of the SKRC.

If you would like to learn more about the PSP DNA and Brain Bank or would like to donate tissue to the Bank please contact Susan Stoneham at the SKRC or telephone 020 7837 8370.
